\"\"<\/a>Entitled Oyasama\u2019s Model Path for One and All\u2014Excerpts from the Third Shinbashira\u2019s Talks<\/em>, this book presents an English translation of Shinbashira okotoba bannin no hinagata<\/em>, which was compiled by Tenrikyo Doyusha Publishing Company from Shinbashira kunwa-shu<\/em> [Collection of the Shinbashira\u2019s Talks] and published in Japanese in 1997. The English edition runs to 187 pages including an index.<\/p>\n

This work is organized into 15 chapters entitled: \u201cAn Overview of the Fifty-Year Divine Model,\u201d \u201cFalling to the Depths of Poverty,\u201d \u201cA Path Crafted for All People Everywhere,\u201d \u201cJoyous Acceptance,\u201d \u201cTaking Delight in the Truth of Arising Occurrences,\u201d \u201cSingle-Heartedness with God,\u201d \u201cSowing Seeds of Sincerity,\u201d \u201cThe Parental Heart,\u201d \u201cSimple Openness and Implementation,\u201d \u201cThe Joyous Life,\u201d \u201cSprinkling Fragrance and Doing Salvation Work,\u201d \u201cThe Service and the Sazuke,\u201d \u201cThe Divine Model and the Ofudesaki,\u201d \u201cThe Workings of the Everliving Oyasama,\u201d and \u201cThe Proper Attitude toward the Divine Model.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oyasama modeled the Joyous Life for the benefit of all people, whether they run businesses, work for companies, or may not necessarily work for a living. \u201cSince Oyasama\u2019s Divine Model is the exemplary model that guides us to the Joyous Life, it is surely meant to benefit all people everywhere, not just those with particular qualities or capacities,\u201d says the third Shinbashira.<\/p>\n

Oyasama tells us that since our mind is capable of experiencing joy in any situation, we should be quick in finding that joy and savoring it. One of the keys to it, according to the third Shinbashira, is to realize that \u201csuffering and delight depend on the way our mind perceives a situation, rather than being inherent in the situation itself,\u201d and we \u201ccan look to Oyasama\u2019s Divine Model to find an example of how to discover joy amid all the worries and travails of daily life.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
